Abilities[]

After being reborn as Arthur Leywin, he awakened as an augmenter, someone who can uses mana within their bodies to enhance their attacks but is also able to shoot out magic after reaching a certain level.

  • Quadra Elemental - As a Quadra Elemental, Arthur can use all four elements, which include Water, Fire, Wind, and Earth.
  • Deviant Elements - After having mastered Fire and Water elements to a certain extent, Arthur has become able to use the upgraded versions of the elements (higher forms of elemental manipulations are known as deviant forms of magic), lightning, and ice, respectively. He is also able to use Gravity magic, the deviant higher form of the Earth element, but only while using Realmheart.
  • Unparalleled Fighter - In his past life, arthur was the best fighter. But after coming to this world his undeveloped body was not able to keep up with his mind, so he trained under virion and made his body a bit stronger but still the problem was not fixed, but after fighting the AA rank Adventure arthur realized since coming to this world he neglected his swordsmanship and his body which he was the best at in his past life. He trained his body and fought for three years without using mana in his adventuring days which reduced misalignment of his body and mind. Just how brutally he was trained in his past life just like that kordri trained him but it was more brutal since arthur experience and instincts were different from than the most he wanted to mold arthur into unparalleled fighter not just among lessers but also among asuras, he mold his bones, developed his muscles and trained his mind to the limit. He spent 4 years honing his body, reflexes and his acuity for combat. Arthur absorbed whatever kordri teach him
  • Expert Swordsmanship - Arthur retained his expertise in swordsmanship from his previous life. However, for a long time, he could not properly execute his movements due to his weaker younger body compared to his previous life and the misalignment of his mental image of himself and his actual form. His combat abilities are later improved after his training with Kordri.
  • Beast Tamer - Having received the dragon will from Sylvia, Arthur can use the power of the Acquire Phase, Integrate Phase, and the third phase which can be classified as a sort of advanced integrate phase. During this time, the user borrows the inherent power of the beast and is capable of truly utilizing his beast's ability and characteristics. Arthur's Acquire Phase allows him to access one of Sylvia's abilities he dubs as Static Void (see further down the page). Arthur's Integrate Phase allows him to enter the Realmheart form (see further down the page). Arthur's third phase was never given a name, but can be seen as a stronger integrate phase.
  • Expression Control - Arthur has learned to cut off his emotion whenever he wants it was something he obtained after getting used, betrayed so many times in his past life, Arthur does this in order to fight with most efficiency. Shown in Chapter 149.
  • Comprehension - Arthur ability to grasp and understand is terrifying that even the kordri from Phanteon race complimented. shown in chapter 152.
  • Precise Mana Usage - Kordri placed an restriction of mana when training him Through that he was able to learn precise mana usage.
  • Abnormal Perception - An ability he developed in his past life as king grey. Kordi said Arthur has an abnormal level of perception because even having so many restriction on him while he was sparring with Taci a genius who got the attention enough to catch the eye of elder of the clan yet arthur was able to surpass him in a few days.
  • Mana Rotation - The teachings of Sylvia allowed Arthur to be able to continuously absorb mana from the atmosphere while moving or in combat. This ability is one used by mana beasts and is learned by them at a very young age. Sylvia commented that the reason why Arthur was able to learn this was because of how young he was when he created his mana core.
  • Mana Transference - Mana Transference had been studied for many years according to Professors and many of the books in the Xyrus Academy library, but it was a hopeless cause for them. They believed that if a mage had the fire attribute, receiving mana from another fire attribute mage should be possible, but after countless tests and failures, they deemed it implausible; the reason being that even if someone was specialized, the mana inside their bodies weren’t purely of just that element. Hypothetically, if someone was able to condense and refine their core to the highest sense, then they could transfer mana with another person‘s core of that same level and element. Other than that, it would be impossible. Except for Arthur. The fact that he was able to manipulate all four elements allowed him to adjust, mimic and input the types of mana and the ratio of each element of the person he was transferring to.[1]
  • Mirage Walk - While training in Epheotus, Arthur learns to completely hide his mana presence by balancing his output of mana from his core through his mana channels and his intake of mana from the atmosphere through his mana veins, rendering him essentially invisible to people and animals trying to sense him via mana fluctuations.
  • Burst Step - After learning the basics of Mirage Walk, The secret mana art of the Thyestes Clan, Arthur combines Mirage Walk with a burst of speed created by artificially activating the muscles needed to take a quick step with mana. This technique results in an almost instant, short-ranged movement that is mostly undetectable. Human bodies cannot handle the burden this technique places on the body resulting in Arthur taking permanent damage to his legs, and overuse will cause his legs to become crippled.
  • AMA Interpretation - Learned while training in Indrath clan, shown in chapter 160.
  • Augmented melee Combat - Learned while training in Indrath clan, shown in chapter 160.
  • Cohesive style - After learning ama interpretation, augmented melee combat and various skills from Kordri, Myre and Windsom. Arthur start fitting everything together in to a cohesive style that utilizes elemental magic and his melee combat under the guidance of Wren.
  • Flight - After reaching the white stage, Arthur can now effortlessly fly.

Skills[]

  • Static Void - Arthur may use the aether around him to freeze time for everything by using the Acquire Phase of his dragon will; although, this does not include those who can use aether in the same way. However, because this form of aether usage is not suitable for Arthur, no matter how much he uses it or trains it, using Static Void will not be any easier than it was previously. He can't interact with frozen people or items, and the atomsphere's mana particles are also frozen.
  • Realmheart - By using the Integrate Phase of his dragon will, Arthur goes into a form resembling the dragon who gave him his beast-will. He grows long white hair, his eyes turn lavender, and he gets gold runes covering his arms and under the eyes. In this form, Arthur can see all the mana and aether that surrounds him. Seeing mana and aether allows for more efficient utilization of his mana. For example, thanks to this form he’s able to use gravity magic, which he‘s not normally able to do. The efficiency initially caused him to believe it to be a "mere power-up." Moreover, after his training with Myre, he learned to cancel spells as well in this form.
    • Unleashed Realmheart - In this mode, he still has the physique of Realmheart, but his control over the Spatium aspect of aether is greatly increased, allowing him to use a premature form of Godstep, creating short-distance portals through physical space. In addition, all of his physical attacks and strikes with his sword are lightly imbued with aether, increasing their general striking power, but nothing more. This third form was only achieved once by Arthur, and has not been replicated or attempted since.
  • Thunderclap Impulse (Spell)- This skill is a lightning affinity mana skill that runs currents through the nerves of it’s user. Arthur can quicken his reflexes several times over for a short time. Average humans have a reaction speed of about 0.3 seconds, and trained fighters can have it shortened to 0.2 or 0.15 seconds, but using this ability, Arthur can shorten this time to 0.05 seconds. Used in Chapter 128.
  • Absolute Zero (Spell) - Arthur can freeze anything around him at a given radius by absorbing the particles of water attribute mana into his body.
  • White Flame (Spell) - Arthur can manipulate ice magic to form a flame like appearance that freezes anything the ice embers touch.
  • Black Lightning (Spell) - Arthur can condense lightning magic to create a much faster and destructive form of lightning that is black and destroys absolutely everything it touches.
  • Typhon's Howl (Spell) - Arthur condenses air mana in his palms. Releasing the mana generates a blast of wind in the direction in which his palms point.
  • Lightning Surge (Spell) - A Lightning attribute attack Arthur launches as a blue lightning barrage, quick and powerful but was only used once in chapter 138.
  • Burst Blade - A Wind attribute attack where Arthur launches wind as a Single Slash.
  • Burst Blade Storm - A spell that combines lightning and wind to increase Arthur's speed and cutting power on his sword.
  • Wind Torrent - A spell that conjures and tornado using wind magic to slow down Arthur's descent, though there is likely an offensive purpose for this spell as well.
  • Bloodlust - Oppressive bloodlust or killing intent that frighten or pressure even veteran warriors as stated by lucas that the pressure arthur exhibit even greater than any pressure than he felt in his life, Arthur possess it since he was young due to his past life.
  • Down force (Spell)- When using Realmheart, Arthur can use gravity magic to form a pressure that crushes anything the spell pushes down on.
  • Wind Bullet (Spell)- A spell that allows Arthur to fire off a blast of wind in a quick manner.
  • Stone pillar (Basic spell) - Arthur forms a pillar made of stone as per Wren Kain IV's request.

Aether Core[]

After Arthur shattered his mana core with the overuse of Unleashed Realmheart, Arthur was later able to reform the pieces by using aether into an aether core (chapter 256). While this does bring in a new set of abilities and skills, he is now unable to use any mana, elements, and his dragon will. Aether is, however, a more potent power source in comparison to mana for ubiquitous powers such as body strengthening or protection. Overall, it is potentially infinitely more powerful and versatile than mana, due to ruling over time, space, existence, and fate. Arthur can also expand his Aether core and gain new "layers" to it. Doing so he can remove all the impurities from his Aether core and vastly increase his aether reserves and control over aether.

Purification Stages[]

  • Absorption - Gathering aether into his core.
  • Tempering - Running the aether through his body to form aether channels that can have more control over the aether.
  • Purging - Expending all of the aether in his body to restart the process.

Abilities[]

These are abilities Arthur gained as a result of his Aether core and his new, mostly, Asuran body.

  • Aether Consumption - Arthur is now able to consume/absorb (originally only via his mouth then later via anywhere on his body) Aether off of objects or creatures to replenish his Aether core, but his new body also requires aether as a source of energy, which is why he felt slow and tired when he woke up with his new body.
  • Regeneration - Arthur possesses incredibly fast and potent healing abilities due to his Asuran body, such as healing wounds from the bow chimera within seconds or severed limbs within a few minutes.
  • Aether Body Enhancement - Simply the presence of aether in his body strengthens it passively, making him faster, stronger and more perceptive.
  • Aether Sense - Arthur can sense almost anything with some kind of aether.
  • Asura's Eye - Arthur can now see aether particles without assistance from Realmheart.
  • Mana Sense - After using Realmheart for an extended period of time, Arthur can now sense mana without the assistance from Realmheart.

Techniques[]

  • Aether Augmentation - With his new Aether channels, he can consciously direct his Aether around his body, like he did with mana. Since he is now capable of augmenting himself with pure Aether, he is exponentially faster and stronger than his mana using self.
  • Burst Step (Technique) - He can use Burst Step with little to no consequence due to his Asuran body's endurance being at a much higher degree than his previous human one.
    • Burst Strike - Taking the principles of Burst Step, Arthur artificially activates the muscles in his arm with aether, to create a near, instantaneous, punch; this movement is mostly undetectable, even to lances and retainers.
  • Aether Rotation - With the idea of mana rotation taught to him by sylvia, Arthur can absorb aether while moving or fighting. He used this technique to hatch sylvie in the aether realm by absorbing the aether in the realm, while simultaneously imbuing aether into sylvie's egg.
  • Gauntlet Form - With the help of Regis going into his hand, Arthur can direct the Aether in his core into his fist, then unleash it in a single blow, dealing incredible damage.
  • Aetheric Intent - Arthur can now release an aura similar to Kordri's King's Force. The aura he releases makes the air grow heavy and can drive soldiers to their knees and even choke the air out of their lungs or freeze them in place and make Arthur unapproachable, but a strong enough opponent would be immune to it.
  • Aether Cannon - Arthur can project Aether as a powerful blast, which he normally uses as an attack. Nevertheless, he once used it as an expansive directional wave in order to drill through dense snow.
  • Aetheric Barrier - Arthur can release Aether as a shield around himself to protect himself from spells, physical attacks, or any other factors that may harm Arthur. The barrier is strong enough to block a barrage of spells released by an Alacryan army.
  • Aether Claw - Arthur can create an aetheric claw, which extends from his finger. After gaining a second layer to his Aether core, his control over Aether deepened to the point, that he can create larger Aether Claws, which last much longer than before and are much more precise.
  • Aether Sword - After training extensively with the Djinn who he met at the Second Ruin, Arthur learned to manifest perfect aether swords that are an upgrade over his original Aether Claw technique. These swords are highly durable and are able to cut through most mana imbued surfaces/substances with incredible ease (which can be seen during Arthur's massacre at the Granbehl Manor, when Arthur cut through an "impenetrable" mana imbued door with his aether sword.)
    • Sword of Destruction - By allowing Regis to enter the Aether Sword, while triggering the destruction rune, Arthur causes the aetheric blade to grow larger and to be wrapped in dark violet flames. This combo prevents Arthur from going insane and destroying everything in his environment. This combo not only allows Arthur to cut virtually anything without difficulty, but allows destruction to spread across an opponent after cutting said opponent.
    • Flying Aether Swords - After training with Eleanor Leywin in the relictombs, Arthur can manifest multiple aether swords next to any part of his body and command them to fly towards a chosen target; this gives Arthur a much wider attacking range that can be used to track opponents before slicing said target.
    • Aetheric God Step Sword - Arthur Leywin's combat abilities combines Aether swordsmanship with God Step's space manipulation. Using this ability, he may teleport his Aether sword to the godstep paths and direct it to appear next to any part of his opponent's body. Arthur uses the principles of God Step to create a path for his blade, allowing it to materialize at a predetermined location near his opponent. This approach gives him a strategic advantage by catching his opponents off guard with surprise attacks from various angles and distances.
  • Flight - After gaining insight to 'King's Gambit', Arthur can now use aether to fly.
  • Aether Negation - Should a user of aether perform an aether art against arthur, he can move aether to cancel out the effects of the aether technique, even from beings as strong as Kezess.

Godrunes[]

Godrunes are markings that signify mastery over a specific edict of aether and are gained through insight into the edict.

  • God Step (Spatium) - An upgraded version of Burst Step. God Step belongs to the edict of space aether arts, Spatium. It allows the user to step through aetheric paths to a predetermined location. Deeper understanding of this rune allows for teleportation through doors and walls if the user is familiar with the destination. Note, that this is not the same ability that he used in Chapter 248. Back when he was able to use the third phase of his beast will, Arthur was merely ‘folding’ the space and taking a physical step through that fold in order to cross an impossible distance. This Godrune however, while having a similar outcome, was different. Arthur wasn’t manipulating the space around him, but manipulating his body into this aetheric vibration capable of slipping through space at a near-instant speed.[2] The release of purple lightning-like tendrils of Aether while using God Step is noted by Arthur. He managed to grasp a deep understanding and utilization of God Step after his time with his mentor, Three Steps of The Shadow Claw, within the Relictombs. At first, Arthur had to sparingly use God Step, since it took a big toll on his Aether reserves in environments without large amounts of ambient Aether. However, after gaining a second layer to his Aether core, his control over Aether and the quantity of Aether he can store exponentially increased. Now, he can freely use God Step multiple times in quick succession without draining his Aether core at all. He can now also God Step through solid surfaces, and his range has also increased.
  • Destruction (Vivum) - With the help of Regis going into him, Arthur can concentrate the Aether within his core into his open hand, and at the same time, activate his Destruction God Rune that Regis holds. He then creates a cold, purple flame of destruction that disintegrates and destroys anything it comes into contact with. When he uses destruction, a strong, destructive, and violent impulse overcomes his mind that can only be overcome by excruciating physical pain, as demonstrated when he stabbed himself in his thigh.
  • Aroa's Requiem (Aevum)- By gaining an understanding of an edict of aevum, he acquired a Godrune, which can repair any damage inflicted on inorganic items by reversing time, provided that the constituent parts of the object are present. Nevertheless, aether-infused elements can avoid being repaired by this ability, mostly because of Arthur´s lack of experience and insight with this Godrune. The future vision indicated by the Dodecahedron shape using the Keystone indicated that the complete mastery of Aroa's Requiem can even bring back living things or turn back time with no limit on how long the person died or how long the item has been broken.
  • Realmheart (Vivum [Creation])- When using this Godrune, glowing purple runes appear underneath his eyes and on his arms. In this form, he is able to see mana particles and interact with them using Aether. This Godrune allows Arthur to use Aether as a medium to push it between mana in order to manipulate it. Realmheart does not allow Arthur to use mana, but allows him to indirectly manipulate it with the flow of Aether by repelling them and redefining what mana was allowed to do only around it. This Godrune, although powerful, is incomplete. However, it is not Arthur's understanding that is incomplete, but the Djinn’s. The Djinn had not taken this Aether art to it’s full potential, which means that Arthur can improve upon it with further insight in the future.
  • King's Gambit (edict unknown)- When this Godrune is activated, a golden crown will appear on Arthur's head and shine very brightly. Using this ability, Arthur can split his mind to create multiple trains of thought and increase his cognitive speed. In addition, Arthur's five senses improved drastically. Arthur's heightened senses allow him to see things like when someone is lying, just by seeing how the person's breathing pattern changes, and a person's emotions through changes in facial muscles. However, the drawback of using this Godrune is that Arthur's mind will become confused and unfocused for a while. Another downside to using the King's Gambit is that Arthur will become colder and more calculating, as Sylvie has pointed out that this Godrune brings out the gray side in Arthur.

Rune[]

Runes are the runes used by the ancient mages.

  • Extra-Dimensional Storage {Rune} - After satisfying the curiosity of the Djinn in his first exploration of the Relictombs, Arthur Leywin was awarded an Extra-Dimensional black rune (which was engraved onto his arm) that can store inorganic substances and dead organic matters. Since Arthur lost his ability to use mana, and as such his ability to use the dimensional ring, this rune is of great importance to him, since it requires only Aether. However, this Dimensional storage has an unknown limit. As a side note, due to his extreme regenerative abilities, the Djinn ensured Arthur that the rune would reappear if he were to lose an arm after that arm is regrown, however, this would limit the size to about the same size as a crate.

Fate[]

Arthur gained insight into Fate, turning him into the one who controls it. Fate manifest itself as golden strings. Fate is every single possible future. Although, much about Fate has yet to be revealed, Arthur's lacking and inexperienced use of Fate has already show to be the powerful ability in the world. Unfortunately for Arthur, he appears to lose these abilities, either temporarily or perhaps permanently, after using them on Agrona and Cecilia, though the full extent is still unclear.

  • Foresight: Due to Fate being every single possible future, Arthur is able to look into multiple different possible timelines, and choose which timeline he wanted to happen.
  • Fate Cutting: Arthur cut the golden string of fate of others allowing for him to destroy their future and past. Doing so also affects the actions of the targets whose fate has been cut. For example, Arthur cutting Agrona's Fate led to immediate death of the wraiths as their were Agrona's creation.
  • Fate Armor: In one of the timelines Arthur saw, he was able to cover himself with the golden strings of Fate.
