Avier is the bond of Cynthia Goodsky, the director of Xyrus Academy.
Later, it is revealed that she released him from their bond, requesting not to save her because she knew her fate was death sooner or later, and told him to retreat deep into the Beast Glades.[1] Four years later he returns once again meeting with Arthur Leywin after he returns from his ascent in the relictombs in Dicathen, revealing his true form to take him to meet with Aldir, Mordain and Wren in the Hearth.[2]
Appearance[]
Avier is first described as an owl-like mana beast with greenish feathers, bushy brows and a small, white horn on his head. He is slightly larger than a normal owl but still small enough to sit on a person's shoulders. His eyes are piercing and golden in color.
In his actual form as a wyvern, Avier has scales the same green shade as his feathers. His neck is long and frill-like spikes grows along his spine. His wings has no scales but they are a dim, golden color. His face is that of a reptilian, and his mouth is full of sharp fangs. Two long horns grow from his skull ans sweeps back, and his legs are thick and powerful, ending in talons. His tail is long, thick and heavy.
Wyverns are said to be lesser descendants of dragons, explaining their dragon-like appearances.[1]
Background[]
At some point, Cynthia Goodsky encountered Avier deep in the Beast Glades. The wyvern took a liking to her, and the two formed a bond. Cynthia kept his true form a secret at his request.[1]
Abilities & Skills[]
Speech: Unlike most mana beasts, Avier has the ability to vocally speak with other people, insted of the usual mind-communication often seen between bonds.[1]
Flight: Avier can fly using his wings in both of his forms. The speed of his flight can rival even Sylvie's.[1]
Physical Combat: Avier is skilled in physical combat, using his wings, teeth and talons to rip his foes apart.
Aura: Avier can use his heavy aura to ward off enemies.
Mana Manipulation: Avier has been noted be able to manipulate mana, e.g. sending pulses of mana to communicate.
- Fire Magic: Avier is able to breath emerald-colored fire. He can also use fire magic to heal his wounds.
