Bairon answers directly to the Council of Dicathen, more specifically the monarch’s of Sapin. He has control over entire battalions of mages and has the full authority and capability to enter and lead dungeon excavations. As the hier to the Wykes House, Bairon has access to his families abundant resources and wealth.
Augmenter: Bairon is an Augmenter mage, therefore someone who can use magic within their bodies to enhance their attacks, but at the same time also able to shoot out magic after reaching a certain level. Once he achieved the white stage of his mana core and became a Lance of Dicathen, Bairon became one of the strongest mages in Dicathen, arguably the second strongest of the Lances, only outmatched by his leader Varay. When Bairon lost all reason and tried to kill Arthur for killing Lucas, Bairon could only be stopped by the combined efforts of both Varay and Olfred. To free him from the impositions imposed on its core by artifacts, Arthur taught him Mana Rotation. Now he can collect mana while using magic.
Fire Elemental: Bairon has a single specialization in the attribute of Fire. While he is never shown to use his natural attribute, Bairon is implied to be a master of fire magic as he was capable of achieving deviant level magic.
Lightning Deviant: Bairon is a deviant in Lightning, someone who has mastered Fire Magic to a higher extent. Bairon can freely control lightning and make different shapes, weapons, projectiles, and barriers. One example is when he produce a blue white orb that blasts out long javelins of lightning at the opponent by condensing lightning magic; if the javelins miss the target and land on the ground, chains and manacles will emerge from the javelins and wrap around the target's wrists and ankles, restricting their movement.
- Electromagnetism: Bairon has the ability to magnetize people or objects to various surfaces. In the novel, he did this to Arthur when he arrived at Xyrus Academy, and to Taci's spear during his fight with him.
- Nerve Fracture: Bairon can send lightning magic into a target's nervous system to paralyze them.
- Thunderclap Impulse: Bairon can enhance his reaction speed by running currents of lightning magic into his nerves. He learned how to do this from Arthur.
- Thunderlord’s Wrath: Bairon can unleash or grab his opponent's body and bombard it with loads of lightning magic by infusing lightning magic into every part of his body.
Flight: As a white core mage, Bairon has the ability to fly.

Asuran Spear: Taci's blood-red spear, which has the power to disrupt mana, was given to Bairon by Arthur after he killed Taci. Taci can use the spear to break apart spells and absorb the mana to fuel his own strength, and also make the spear dematerialize and reappear in his hands; it is not shown if Bairon can use these powers.
