Arthur after realizing Haedrig had been Caera, lifts her up by the throat. He discovers that Caera possesses onyx horns on her head, indicating her Vritra heritage. Unsure of her intentions, Arthur considers killing her but hesitates due to their previous temporary alliance and the fact that she has not tried to harm him before, Arthur decides to spare her for now. They continue their journey through the snowy landscape, and Caera accidentally attacks Regis, mistaking him for a threat which Arthur finds ammusing. Regis reappears unharmed. Arthur eventually realizes they're in a massive crater and Caera notices a round buldge from the rim of the caldera. Caera slashes through the snow using dark flames, melting a long path through it. They're about a quarter mile away from the round bulge and Regis reminds Arthur he can blast a tunnel using Aether. Arthur makes a sphere of Aether after failing to make a drill and blasts away a tunnel that they can walk through. After using the aether cannon and resting briefly, they discover a white dome. They use the aether cannon to open up space around it, and a bright light emerges from an arched door. They cautiously enter and find a large, empty room. They also find a pile of bones and various artifacts, including a white arrowhead and a talon necklace. Arthur realizes they can't leave since the door is broken.
Arthur lifts Caera after he realizes she had been disguised as Haedrig the entire time, unsure what her intentions are.
