Emily is an Adventurer as well as an exam proctor for the Xyrus branch of the Adventurer's Guild. She is in charge of examining Conjurers.
Appearance[]
Emily attire is that of a typical conjurer, wearing greyish brown robes, a long brown cloak, and a conjurer’s hat in the shape of a large cone that set a shadow covering most of her face. She has a pale face with thin eyes and possesses a gray staff.[1]
Personality[]
While she takes her duties and responsibilities very seriously, Emily is honorable, respectful, and kind, as evident by her treating Diane Whitehall in a friendly manner, which showcases her integrity as a examiner.[1] Emily has a distaste for arrogance as she was not too pleased by Lucas Wykes' behavior during his exam as well as their duel. Emily seems to hold no grudges as she evaluated Lucas correctly despite his lack of respect towards her.
Season 2[]
Emily is first seen examining a young lady named Diane Whitehall.[1] While Diane was rather nervous and gave an unnecessary introduction, Emily was courteous towards Diane as she reassured her that there would be a medical staff on stand by. Emily commenced the duel as Diane conjured a water barrier to protect herself. Emily herself conjured a sand storm to block Diane's vision. Diane then dispelled her barrier and took to attacking Emily with her Siren's Howl. While Emily managed to dodge the attack, Diane evaporated her spell into fog to obscure Emily's vision. Diane then attacked Emily with a barrage water bullets. When the dust cleared, all that was left shown was a hole in the ground made by Emily. Emily then appeared behind Diane and smacked her on her head with her staff. Emily commended Diane for her ability in mana manipulation, but pointed out her lack in defenses. Emily appointed Diane the rank of C-Class Adventurer.
Emily then called for the next examinee, Elijah Knight. Before she could begin his test however, a clerk approached her and informed her of Elijah's special condition thanks to his sponsor. As a result, Elijah was automatically placed in B-Class. Following that, Emily called for the final conjurer to be tested, a boy named Lucas Wykes, who arrogantly stated that he should just be skipped over as well and placed into A-Class.[1] Emily, displeased with the noble child's arrogance, quickly reviewed his file and was surprised that he was a light orange mage, before beginning the test. Lucas wasted no time in activating his fire and summoning his Flame Guardian, to which Emily engulfed the guardian in her Earth Tomb. Lucas was unfazed by this and even proclaimed he would be the first to injure a test examiner. Lucas summoned a few dozen fireballs to attack Emily. Emily in response summoned a few dozen rocks to counter the fireballs, though she did not manage to destroy all of them as Lucas rained the fireballs down at Emily. Emily managed to dodge the incoming fireballs and maneuver behind Lucas and create hands from the earth to capture Lucas. Though Lucas tried to counter her attack by redirecting the fireballs at Emily, Emily managed to grab Lucas’s leg and use him as a shield. Believing the fireballs would attack him, Lucas winces as the fireballs approach him and tries to dispel his attack, not realizing that Emily had already protected him by shielding him with her earth.
Despite Emily praising Lucas for his abilities and potential, Lucas attempts to engulf Emily in the fire. Before Emily could respond, a fellow proctor George intervened and dispelled Lucas’s flames. Lucas is reprimanded for breaking regulation, despite Lucas’s infuriated claims that his exam wasn’t over and that he had everything under control. Emily announces that Lucas is qualified to be and placed under B-Class. Lucas, infuriated by his rank and humiliation, claims his father will hear of this. Emily later watched as the Guild Master Kaspian Bladeheart personally dueled with the final examinee named Note, and was astonished by the young boy's power and capability to go toe to toe with Kaspian. Kaspian then suddenly ended the duel while appointing Note with the rank of B-Class.
George and Emily later barged into Kaspian's office flabbergasted that there were so many B-Rank Adventurers and that they were all children. Kaspian explained to the examiners the results of what transpired after the tournament between the three kingdoms, including how the ban on Dwarves and Elves becoming registered adventurers would be lifted and that there would representatives from both Darv and Elenoir registering in the future. Kaspian then pulled the files of all three appointed adventurers, disclosing their details. Of the three children, Kaspian admitted he was not sure who Note was, as he was not representing any noble family or the other two kingdoms, and was only curious as to who Jasmine Flamesworth was willing to sponsor. Kaspian then asked both examiners to keep what he has disclosed to them secret until a public announcement was made.
