Emily Watsken is a first year scholar mage student at Xyrus Academy. She is an aspiring inventor with a passion for Artificing, being responsible for the creation of the projection display artifact. During the war against Alacrya, Emily began working alongside and eventually becoming an apprentice of Professor Gideon.
Appearance[]
Emily has thick round glasses that magnify her yellow eyes and the freckles underneath them. She has curly green hair hair is tied into a ponytail down her back. As a scholar mage, Emily wears the standard scholar mage uniform with a blue brooch.
Personality[]
Emily is intelligent and intuitive for her young age. She loves artificing to the point that her hands will be covered in calluses from fiddling with different kinds of gadgets. As a child prodigy, Emily feels frustrated that people don't treat her like a child. Emily is initially shy when talking to strangers, often stuttering. She can be quite talkative when she becomes comfortable with someone. Emily finds comfort in the company of Arthur because both are considered "freaks" by their peers.[1] She has great admiration towards Gideon in the field of artificing to the point her eyes would sparkle while absorbing every information being taught by Gideon.
Background[]
Emily is a genius at artificing. Before turning 10 years old, she tinkers around her parent's lab where she makes the basic design for the projection display artifact. This artifact is later used in the kings' and queens' announcements regarding the formation of the Council of Dicathen. She enrolls in Xyrus Academy and meets Arthur during her first year. During their time at Basics of Artificing class, Emily and Arthur work on a light-producing artifact project together.[2]
Abilities & Skills[]
If Gideon is considered the Da Vinci of Artificers, Emily can be considered the Michelangelo of her generation. Emily is a genius who's capabilities are recognized by many of Dicathen's best Artificers, including Gideon. Emily was capable of creating the projection display artifact long before she attended Xyrus Academy. Her vast knowledge in Artificing and technology are considered to be on par if not greater than her master Gideon's. She is always tinkering away on new artifacts in her spare time, with her dorm room practically surrounded in minor artifacts that she has made in her spare time. Her most remarkable and common artifacts are her light based artifacts that she owns. Emily is also great at gathering information, as she was able to learn everything about Arthur long before she met him on her first day.
