Lilia Helstea is the daughter of Vincent Helstea and Tabitha Helstea and heir to the Helstea family. Thanks in part to Arthur Leywin assisting her in manifesting her mana core, Lilia became the first mage born in the Helstea family as well as the first to attend Xyrus Academy, where she was made the Student Council Secretary.

Appearance

Lilia has long, brown hair that goes mid-way to her back and it is often braided , kitten-like hazel eyes and she appears to be the same age as Arthur Leywin.

Despite being a noble's daughter Lilia is often seen wearing simple dresses and accessories.

Personality

Lilia is an obedient daughter who wishes to make her parents proud and she works diligently through meditating to awaken her mana core. Eleanor Leywin and Lilia are close to each other. Lilia is often found with Eleanor, either giggling or playing together. Like Eleanor, Lilia has been charmed by Sylvie's cuteness. Like most girls her age, she enjoys shopping and she often participates with Alice Leywin and her mother in dressing up Arthur Leywin when she was young.

During her first few meetings with Arthur, Lilia appears shy. She finds Arthur intimidating at first for his advanced strength and magic capabilities. Lilia is envious of Arthur's talent, wanting to become a mage herself to make her parents proud. She feels stressed out from her parents' high hopes for her to become a mage that she usually sneaks to the servants' quarters. Lilia has a close relationship with the servants, who spoil her by providing her with some of her favorite foods. She enjoys eating, especially the fatty parts, but her mother forbids fearing that Lilia will grow some weight.

She develops an admiration and gratitude towards Arthur after he helps her awaken her mana core. After Arthur's return as an adventurer, Lilia has developed an infatuation for Arthur, appearing more fiddly and jumpy when he is around. She takes her responsibilities seriously, especially as a Student Council Secretary. She enrolls as a battlemage at Xyrus Academy, hoping to make a name for herself.

Background

Lilia is the only daughter of Vincent Helstea and Tabitha Helstea. Though she grew up in a loving family, her parents desired for Lilia to one day awaken as a mage and attend Xyrus Academy as neither of them could wield magic. While she wanted to make her parents proud, Lilia could not help but feel pressured by her parents expectations. Before the Leywins moved in with them, Lilia would often visit the servants' quarters when feeling stressed, to vent or join them in meals. Lilia would even have her maid Maria serve her fattening food that her mother and father would usually forbid her from eating. After the Leywin family moved in with her and her parents, Lilia would spend her childhood playing with the infant Eleanor Leywin, acting as an older sister towards her.

• In the light novel, Lilia awakened her mana core while she was in her room, but the webcomic shows that she did so while outside her house, leaving a crater in the pavement.
