Otis Vayhur Wykes is the patriarch of the noble Wykes Family, as well as the father of Lucas Wykes and Bairon Wykes.

He later sides with the Vritra after the alacryan invasion of Dicathen in order to keep his noble status and powers. He, along with many other noble families, also sympathies with their cause to remove the "lesser" races, i.e dwarves and elves, from the continent. He, along with the other nobles who joined Alacrya, are stripped of their status by Arthur after his retaking of Xyrus.

Appearance

He is a tall man with long, blonde hair pulled back in a ponytail. He has a couple of scars on the left side of his face. His eyes are harsh and he has a slim beard on his chin. As a nobleman, Otis is regal in appearance, wearing a dark suit with an ascot.

Personality

As to be expected of the father of Lucas Wykes, Otis is a cruel, greedy, arrogant and calculating man. He is obsessed with power, willing to gain it by any means necessary, going as far as to use his own children to fulfill his selfish desires. Otis is devoid of any form of love, with no care for his children. He expressed no grief at Lucas' death, instead expressing his anger over the years worth of resources used on Lucas having gone to waste, and only saw it as an opportunity to gain clout. As the patriarch of the Wykes House, Otis takes pride in his lineage, refusing to allow even the slightest plight against him to go unpunished. Otis is also temperamental, lashing out in anger over Lucas's disgrace to their family, and was even shown attempting to strike Bairon for bringing Lucas' body to their home, implying he has violent tendencies.

Background

Otis is the patriarch of the infamous Wykes family, who were known throughout Sapin for their contribution to the Second War. House Wykes had a reputation for its nefarious practices in magic to produce splendid and powerful mages from their family. Otis of course was no exception to this as he experimented on his son Bairon Wykes to create the perfect warrior, who would grow to become one of the strongest mages in all of Dicathen. His ambition did not stop there however, as he would go on to father another son, Lucas Wykes, with an elf slave. Like Bairon, Otis experimented on his half-breed son, giving him elixirs and beast cores to expedite his growth. Eventually Lucas would hit a stunt in his development, and so was ordered by Otis to become an Adventurer, so as to enhance his abilities through real battles.

Abilities & Skills

As patriarch of the Wykes family, Otis is an influential, as well as powerful nobleman within Sapin. His connections to notable figures such as the Council of Dicathen, as well as his family's history of contributions lead many to believe Otis on par with the royal family. Otis owns an abundance of wealth, as well as invaluable resources. His standing in Sapin also allows him to prevent his children from experiencing repercussions for their actions, such as when Lucas tried to kill his party members during their dungeon raid, Otis was able to let Lucas walk away without experiencing prison.

Augmenter: is an Augmenter mage, therefore someone who can use magic within their bodies to enhance their attacks, but at the same time also able to shoot out magic after reaching a certain level. Though his fighting prowess ramains unknown, the fact that Otis is capable of emitting blue flames should be a testament to the sinister nobleman's capabilities, as one cannot generate blue flames without reaching the yellow stage of their mana core. Though his power of course pales in comparison to his son Bairon, a Lance of Dicathen.

Fire Elemental: Like his children, Otis has a single specialization in the attribute of Fire. While it is unknown just how powerful Otis is in fire magic, the fact that he is capable of emitting blue flames indicates he is quite formidable.
