Avius is a professor of Xyrus Academy, in Fundamentals of Mana Theory.

Appearance[]

A man in his mid-thirties, with silver eyes, and brown hair kept neat. His jaw is narrow and his body thin. As a professor of Xyrus Academy, Avius wears a black cloak around his uniform. As a conjurer, Avius sports a wand with a blue gem on his belt.

Personality[]

Avius is quiet and mostly keeps up the appearance of a disciplined and professional educator. He comes across as polite, courteous, patient, and sometimes playful. As a teacher of Xyrus Academy, Avius takes it upon himself to emphasize the importance of understanding all aspects of magic and dissuade his students from certain negative stereotypes and segregated outlooks.

Synopsis[]

Season 4[]

Avius began the school year by discussing about the segregation between Conjurers and Augmenters. [1] While Avius acknowledged that Conjurer's have more developed mana veins that can absorb more ambient mana compared to Augmenters, he also makes it apparent that once both Conjurers and Augmenters reach a higher stage, their differences become subtle, as Conjurers will be able to distribute their mana throughout their body while Augmenters will have better control over the surrounding mana. As a demonstration, Avius manifests mana from both his hands, one as a ball, and the other around his fist before launching them both at two students who were talking. Avius then questioned his class over who would have a bigger advantage between an Augmenter and a Conjurer if both mages reached the Silver stage.

Avius appears later when a student named Marcois Hutchom died from mana leakage. Avius took the opportunity to educate his class on the dangers of overexerting their mana core, as well as the negative repercussions of forcefully boosting mana reserves from the overuse and reliance on aids such as elixirs.

Relationships[]

Xyrus Academy: While Avius is never shown interacting with anyone throughout school, he is very loyal to the Academy and it's students. Avius has a fondness for his class as he will sometimes crack jokes with them to keep their attention, but knows when to be a proper educator. During the attack on Xyrus Academy, Avius risked his life to defend the school and it's students.

Abilities & Skills[]

As a professor of Xyrus Academy, Avius is considered a remarkable mage and educator. While his full capabilities as a mage are unknown, Avius is considered very wise and dependable, as he will always leave his students with an open mind to different possibilities. As professor of Fundamentals of Mana Theory, Avius is in charge of the curriculum surrounding the basics of understanding mana manipulation and exploring different theories surrounding mana.

Conjurer: Avius is a conjurer mage, someone who supplements their own mana core with mana from the outside world, to exert mana into their surroundings in the form of spells. While it is unknown as to what his mana level is or whether he possesses an elemental affinity, Avius is still a formidable mage, as not only was he capable of manifesting and conjuring mana without the need of his wand, but was also strong enough to keep his full power hidden from detection.
